Objectives: Reach Hispanic consumers, generate leads, support national Chevy Youth Soccer initiative and showcase new line of vehicles
Challenges: Competing auto sponsor of stadium and MLS. Finding new ways to engage fans and refresh sponsorship.
Summary: In Chevy’s second year with the Galaxy, they became the presenting sponsor of the LA Galaxy Academy. Chevy continued to utilize vehicle displays on-site at Stub Hub Center and Academy events throughout the season to generate leads. To support Youth Soccer, Chevy participated in the well attended COPA LA tournament and hosted multiple youth clinics throughout Southern California tied to local dealerships.
Chevy also became the presenting sponsor of the newly created Galaxy Social Media Hub, which provided an ongoing engagement vehicle with the fans while supporting the overall sponsorship. Lastly, Chevy utilized three popular Galaxy players to provide content in support of a photo sharing promotion.
Results: Chevy received thousands of new leads and established a significant presence in the community tied to the Galaxy. This strong foundation led to renewing and expanding the partnership.
